past

In 2017 Garth Neufeld (Cascadia College) and Eric Landrum (Boise State University) co-founded the podcast “PsychSessions: Conversations about Teaching N’ Stuff.”  Our first three episodes launched October 3, 2017.  The first two episodes were introductory episodes.  Nearly 200 episodes have been released.  All can be found at libsyn.psychsessions.com.

On January 1, 2020, we broadcast our first “pod-ference,” sharing a series of keynote addresses and symposium-like discussion distributed in a conference format, designed to provide free professional development opportunities for any and all listeners.

present

We interview teachers of psychology, and occasionally others from varied disciplines. We have interviewed teaching luminaries such as Charles Brewer, Bill McKeachie, Jane Halonen, Regan Gurung, Susan Nolan, Sue Frantz, Missy Beers, and so many more. We have also been fortunate to interview psychology luminaries such as Albert Bandura, Elizabeth Loftus, and Philip Zimbardo.

In 2020 we also launched our AskPsychSessions series, where listeners could ask questions and we have experts record answers. This feature is curated by our colleague Marianne Lloyd from Seton Hall University.

future

As of November 2023, PsychSessions across all shows in the network has enjoyed about 240,000 downloads according to libsyn.com. We have become the accidental historians of teachers of psychology. You can access PsychSessions shows and episodes through iTunes/Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, Stitcher, Amazon Music/Audible, iHeartRadio, and likely anywhere that you access downloads.

You can also access all of our episodes through libsyn at bit.ly/PsychSessions. Although this bit.ly link may still work, the new website, which is live now, can be accessed at
